POA Quote in Dubai: Official Fees, Service Charges and What to Check
A power of attorney quote in Dubai has two parts. The official notary fee is AED 100 per signature, set by
Dubai’s notary fee schedule. Everything else is the provider’s service fee: drafting, translation and processing. A fair quote shows the all-in total before you pay. At Tas-sheel, the complete package starts at AED 1,200.

What is the official fee for a POA in Dubai?
These are the government notary charges under Executive Council Resolution No. 72 of 2025, in force since 15 September 2025:

So if two people sign as principals, the notary fee alone is AED 200. No provider can make that lower. If a quote is far below this, ask what’s been left out.
What does a complete POA quote include?

Two worked examples:
- An owner living abroad (non-resident) gives her brother a POA to sell her apartment. One signature: AED 1,350, all-in.
- A married couple, both UAE residents, sign one POA together. Two signatures: AED 1,200 + AED 350 = AED 1,550, all-in.
Official fee vs service fee: why two quotes differ
The notary fee is the same across Dubai. Quotes differ because of the service fee and what’s bundled into it.
A low quote often covers drafting only. The notary fee, government charges and Arabic translation come later. To compare fairly, add every line into one all-in total. Then compare that total with an end-to-end package.
What can change the package price?
- Residency status. UAE residents with a valid Emirates ID pay AED 1,200. Non-residents pay AED 1,350.
- More signatures. Each additional signature adds AED 350. It’s the same for residents and non-residents.
- Company POAs. We need the trade licence, MOA and a board resolution, so review takes longer.
- Languages other than Arabic and English. These need a separate certified legal translation.
Questions to ask before you accept a quote
Most
mistakes that get a POA rejected start with a quote that didn’t say what it covered. Ask:
- Is the AED 100 notary fee per signature included?
- Is Arabic translation included?
- How many amendments are free, and until when?
- Is this for one POA or several?
- Do I pay before or after the document is verified?
- Will you tell me about any extra charge before doing the work?
Get the answers in writing. A WhatsApp message counts.
What you’ll be asked for
Usually an Emirates ID or passport for each principal, the attorney’s ID details, and the details of the property, vehicle, account or case. The full list depends on the purpose; see the
documents you need for a POA. Sending the right papers first avoids corrections later.
Check the wording before you pay
A cheap POA is expensive if the bank or land department rejects it. You pay for redrafting and the notary fee again. Before you approve the draft, check
whether your POA will be accepted by the authority you’re giving it to.
Online vs in person: does it change the price?
The notary fee is the same either way. The UAE Ministry of Justice has offered a
digital POA service since 2022, so most POAs no longer need an office visit. Here’s
